Congress Registration & General Enquiries

On-Site Attendance

ESP Members, Non-Members, Residents and PhD students

  • Admission to all scientific sessions

* Videomicroscopy Sessions will neither be live streamed nor recorded.
 

Additional Symposia (Molecular Pathology Diagnostics Symposium / Computational Symposium)

  • Admission to all sessions of the respective symposium
  • Admission to poster exhibition (on-site and online) and technical exhibition on the day of the symposium
  • Access to all symposium-related on-demand content (until 13 October 2023 for non-members or 13 December 2023 for ESP members)

Yes, all congress sessions (except for Videomicroscopy) will be available on demand until 13 October 2023 for non-members or 13 December 2023 for ESP members. Kindly note that no CME credits can be granted for on demand viewing.

Yes, please come to the registration counter in the Convention Centre Dublin during the opening hours. However, we recommend to register online in advance to avoid long waiting times. 

 

The preliminary opening hours of the registration counter are as follows: 

 

  • Saturday, 9 Sept 2023: 16:00 – 20:00
  • Sunday, 10 Sept 2023: 07:30 – 18:00
  • Monday, 11 Sept 2023: 07:00 – 18:00
  • Tuesday, 12 Sept 2023: 07:00 – 18:00
  • Wednesday, 13 Sept 2023: 08:00 – 17:30

We recommend to arrange for a visa well ahead of time.

For the sake of all congress participants’ health and safety and to slow the spread of COVID-19, the ESP recommends 

 

  • to wear a face mask in closed areas
  • get tested if you develop symptoms during the event
  • wash and sanitize hands often
  • avoid hand-shaking

Virtual Attendance

Yes, you can, however, only at the ESP member/non-member rate, as resident status cannot be checked. Please note that only credit card payment will be accepted at that stage.

Preferred browsers are Chrome, Edge and Mozilla Firefox (latest versions!).
Please make sure you have a stable internet connection and ideally do not use WiFi. We recommend to use a laptop or desktop computer. Mobile devices are not supported.

You will not be able to access the virtual congress. So please make sure to check in your account whether your registration is fully paid before your online participation.

You can access the congress portal by clicking on the respective landing page at esp-congress.org that will be made available for live congress hours. Please have your login credentials for your congress account (your e-mail address plus individual password) at hand as you will need to login to access specific content. 

All scientific sessions (except for Videomicroscopy) will be recorded and will be available for delayed viewing until 13 October 2023 for non-members or 13 December 2023 for ESP members (registered delegates only). Kindly note that no CME credits can be granted for on demand viewing after the congress.

Live streamed session will have a dedicated Q&A tool through which you can send questions to the session chairs. They will select questions and have them displayed for all delegates. You can also use the congress app to send your questions. 

Please note that Q&A will only be available during live congress hours. 

All uploaded posters will be available during live congress hours as well as on demand (until 13 October 2023 for non-members or 13 December 2023 for ESP members).

Invited Speakers

No, you don’t. You have already been registered by the Congress Office - no need for you to do it via the congress website.

All chairs and speakers will receive an e-mail to activate their account and pay online (if applicable).

Speakers will be invited to upload their slides prior to the congress. Uploading them online is the easiest way to submit your slides. If you have done the upload already and need to make a change in the presentation, please notify the Congress Office at ecp-dublin@cpo-hanser.de. If you are not able to upload your slides online prior to the congress, there will be a Speakers’ Preview Room at the venue for last minute submissions.

All presentations are planned to be delivered in person and exclusively on-site in Dublin.

Should this be a problem for you, please contact the WG chairs responsible for your session.

Abstracts / Bursaries

No, unfortunately, bursaries can only be granted for on-site participation and abstracts need to be presented in person on-site.

No, unfortunately, abstracts can only be presented and thus published with a physical/on-site registration.

Yes, attending the congress on-site and presenting your abstract is a prerequisite for publication.

All abstracts will be published as a digital supplement to Virchows Archiv, the European Journal of Pathology. The abstract book of ECP 2022 is available here.

CME Accreditation

An application will be made to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for accreditation of this event. More detailed information will be available prior to the congress. 

Yes, CME credits will be granted for virtual participation DURING LIVE CONGRESS HOURS (10 September, 0:00 CET to 13 September 2023, 23:59 CET). No CME credits can be granted for on demand viewing after the congress. More detailed information is available here.

Exhibition / Industry Sponsored Symposia

Yes, all industry sponsored symposia can be attended by paid delegates. 

Sponsors are offered the option to have their symposia streamed live. However, not all companies might opt for this. Please check if the respective company has booked a live stream for its symposium. A full list of industry symposia will be available in July 2023.
